New features for custom modes
The feature will now be available and enabled for everyone, you no longer need to contact your CSM to access it! 🎉
As a reminder, you can find the customized modes by going to the Processings tab, then clicking on the settings gear icon in the top right corner, and selecting "Modes".
Customized modes continue to evolve to provide you with even greater flexibility in managing your processings:
- Rename a custom mode: You can now easily rename your custom modes directly within the mode settings in the processings section. Simply click the button located to the right of the mode name to update it as needed.
- Improved duplication: When you duplicate a processing that contains custom fields, those fields will now automatically be included in the duplication, streamlining your workflow and saving you time.
- Completion rules: You can now define specific completion rules that correspond to your selected response type, enhancing the precision and customization of data entry for your fields. Available response types include:
- Text
- A list of choices with single or multiple selection
- A number
- A date
- A repository
In the "Completion Rate" tab, you have the ability to establish guidelines for your customized fields. Each type of response can be linked to specific completion rules tailored to your needs. For instance, if you choose the "Single Choice" response type, you can mandate that users select only one option from the provided list.
You can also provide detailed explanations about the completion rules to clarify the context of each requirement for users. These details will be displayed directly in the completion rate within the processing, making it easier for users to understand the expectations.
- "Repository" response type: You can add a customized field and set the expected response as a "Repository" type, ensuring alignment with your data. For instance, you can ask users to select an answer from various elements in the repository dataset you’ve chosen.
In this example, I configured a question requiring a "Repository" type response and selected the "Data Categories" repository. The available categories from this repository dataset will then appear in a dropdown menu during the processing.
- Disable existing default fields: In processings, it is now possible to disable certain fields containing top-level information when using an extended customized mode. Using the button located to the right of each field, you can easily enable or disable fields that are not essential to you, allowing you to tailor the display to your specific needs.
